Customer Service Hours

Our order lines (Toll Free 1-800-669-7766) are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am through 6:00 PM Central Standard Time. Fax lines are open 24 hours (Toll Free 1-888-369-0788). After-hours call center is available 24/7 for taking the phone orders and requesting order status.

Payment Methods

Online payment methods: We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Some products can ship C.O.D.; or call ahead for shipping charges and then prepay your order.

We also provide the Fax Order Form, which may be printed and faxed directly to us.

Shipping Policy

Standard Ground UPS shipping charges will be applied in the cart for all items that ship UPS (minimum $ 9.95 shipping charge). Because many of our items are too large for UPS and must ship via a freight carrier, a manual shipping calculation must be done to ensure the lowest possible shipping amount. You have the option to request the shipping quote prior to charging your credit card, or you may choose to process your order as long as shipping charges do not exceed 15% of your invoice total. Orders are processed the next business day.

All products ship F.O.B. factory at the customer's expense unless otherwise quoted. Preferred shipment method is UPS. Certain products must ship Common Carrier, which will be chosen to the best of our abilities unless otherwise requested. All orders requiring Common Carrier charges will be quoted by our customer service department before processing. Specific shipment dates are not guaranteed due to possible conditions beyond our control. We reserve the right to hold shipment of all open orders to customers whose account is past due.

Receiving Shipments

Please inspect merchandise immediately upon delivery and report any damage. Damaged or lost merchandise claims must be filed with the carrier within 10 days of receipt of goods. Once the product leaves any of our warehouses it becomes the property of the customer. Please follow these steps when receiving products:

  1. Check your counts. If you are short a package, please note it on the carrier's delivery receipt.
  2. Give a detailed inspection for damage. If the carton even appears to have damage anywhere, make sure you open and inspect your goods thoroughly. If there is damage, note it on the delivery receipt and call Customer Service immediately. Please note damage on delivery receipt but don't refuse the shipment!

Custom Orders

Direct School Desks specializes in meeting your custom requirements. Our highly trained staff is here to help you with your needs. In order to ensure the best prices, each quote request is carefully reviewed. For this reason, quotation preparation may require up to 48 hours. Acceptance of a quotation is our indication that the quote has been approved per the specifications listed. Direct School Desks will not be held responsible for any discrepancies overlooked during the customers' review process.

Account Registration

Online registration takes a few minutes, and customers will immediately be ready to place orders. However, there is no obligation to buy. As stated in our Privacy Policy, we will not release personally identifiable information about our customers, at any time, through any means, to any vendors, or other third parties without your expressly written permission. To register, a customer must have a valid email address, which will become the account username.

Order Status/Account History

Direct School Desks Account-Order Status page allows customers to check their current order status, as well as view history of all orders placed on our site.

Email Specials

When an account is created, customers are automatically added to our newsletter and special promotions subscription list. Customers may change their subscription status at any time by accessing our .Email Specials page.

 Order Cancellations

All orders are considered firm orders and cannot be cancelled without our approval. All returns and cancellations must be authorized in advance and are subject to round trip shipping charges and restock fees. Materials being returned must be in saleable condition and should be insured. Customers are responsible for all materials invoiced. Direct School Desks issues cancellation numbers to our customers. If you need to cancel an order, call customer service at 1-800-669-7766 and obtain your cancellation number. If product has shipped, or a custom order is in process, we may not be able to fulfill your request.

Damaged Items

Returns

No returns will be accepted without a Return Authorization # from Direct School Desks. For a return request, please call the customer service department at 1-800-669-7766 within 30 business days of the original shipment date. Please inform the customer service representative with your order number, the model # of the product you wish to return and the reason for the return.  If the product shipped is the product ordered we may request a restocking fee of up to 50%. However, custom products and some special ordered products are not returnable. All returns will be shipped back at the customer's expense and the products in their original condition/boxes, unless otherwise agreed upon.
